What is the dress code?

ceremony and reception: black tie optional

welcome drinks: anything goes

day after: casual (but a beer or cocktail on the bride & groom if you show up wearing penn state or iu gear!)

What’s the weather like in park city?

in early September, it is typically sunny, mild, and dry. The temps average in the mid 70’s during the day but can drop into the 50’s at night. make sure to pack both sunscreen and a sweater!

What are the ceremony and reception venues like?

Our ceremony will be taking place outdoors on a foot bridge with the mountains, hiking trails, and a ski lift in the background.

We chose to host our reception at one of our favorite restaurants in park city - riverhorse on main. the space is up one flight of stairs and mostly indoors, but opens up to an outdoor patio. the views of main street from the patio at night are some of the best!

Will there be a break between the ceremony and reception?

not too long, we promise!

if you want to squeeze in a cocktail with friends before the ceremony, we highly recommend going to high west saloon. it’s one of our favorite places in park city and only a 10 second walk across the street to the ceremony location. another great option to pop into before we kick off the reception is palomino - it’s next door to our reception venue and makes some of the best cocktails on main street!

Is there an after-party?

there isn’t going to be a formal hosted after-party but you will find the bride and groom at “the spur” up on stage with the live band or doing a shotski! all are encouraged to “apres” - at least for one!

ID REQUIRED REGARDLESS OF YOUR AGE. UTAH IS VERY STRICT!

Where is the best place to meet up the next day?

NO NAME SALOON, OF COURSE! nothing formal / hosted is planned for the day after our wedding but you will find the newlyweds on the rooftop of no name saloon, likely between 10am and 3pm. this will be the best spot for story telling, day drinking, and college football. their teams don’t play each other that day but penn state and indiana both kick off at 10am!

ID REQUIRED, UTAH BARS & RESTAURANTS ARE EXTREMELY STRICT

Are there additional details on the welcome drinks event the night before?

we decided (one day after the invitation and details were sent) that prior to walking down the aisle, it’s important we have an opportunity to try and see our guests that we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet. we also wanted to provide our friends and family a place to connect before our big day! there will be an open bar and a sweet treat but please don’t come hungry! drinks will be flowing but there won’t be munchies for this event. the restaurant is amazing, so we recommend dining at Le Depot prior to our happy hour!

the welcome drinks event will be a little over an hour and completely optional. come for the whole time, pop in just to say hi, or opt out and enjoy park city on your own that evening. feel free to show up in jeans or a suit, athleisure wear or a cocktail dress - we just can’t wait to see you!

Are children invited?

While we are keeping our celebration adults-only, we’re making an exception for littles that have been asked to be part of our wedding ceremony.

Park City is a family-friendly tourist town and has many top-rated babysitting services. these two have come very highly recommended:

Park City Sitters
Mountainside Sitters

What if i have dietary restrictions?

Our venue will be able to accommodate dietary restrictions - just let your server know once you are seated. if you prefer to let us know in advance, text or call daryn or connor anytime before september 2nd.

What happens if it rains?

if rain is forecasted on the day of our wedding and there will be any modifications to the start time or location of our ceremony, the website will be updated. please check the events schedule section before heading to the ceremony!

What is the parking / transportation situation?

We highly recommend staying in old town to take advantage of the towns walkability and all that main street has to offer! with that being said, there are plenty of options to get around, regardless of where you stay.

uber and lyft are very reliable in and around park city. there is also convenient and free transportation around town, including the main street trolley and shuttle service. metered street parking is available on main street as well as multiple public parking garages in old town. lastly, if staying at one of the deer valley resorts, many offer free private guest transportation. please check with your hotel / resort concierge team to confirm.

if you intend to drive to the ceremony, pay-as-you-go parking is available in the underground parking garage at 825 main street. there is also a large parking garage on swede alley, behind the reception venue.

please know that our ceremony and reception locations are a five to eight minute walk from each other.
